EnGenius Releases 6 GHz Access Point

In an industry where Wi-Fi can often come with a large price tag it can be difficult to find reasonable cost for Wi-Fi products and still maintain a level of performance for even small business needs.

EnGenius released their Wi-Fi 6E access point, the ECW336 on the Qualcomm Networking Pro 1210 Platform.

With a tri-band radio and single 5 Gbps Ethernet port, this 6 GHz access point is perfectly positioned for businesses requiring reliable connectivity and ease of management in the cloud.

This EnGenius access point reaches higher speeds and lower latency in the 6 GHz spectrum while supporting 2.4 and 5 GHz. Small businesses can take advantage of enterprise-grade features such as enhanced security with WPA3 and troubleshoot easily with the cloud-managed platform.

Compared to other enterprise access points, upgrading switching infrastructure to support higher PoE standards isn’t required. The ECW336 requires 802.3at PoE+ but to take advantage of higher port speeds, a switch with 5 Gbps port capability is needed.
